[The door is locked, but Rosalind answers promptly enough when he knocks. She smells a little of acid, her hair pinned back and her goggles pushed up. There's something cooling down in the back, though she isn't paying it any mind.

[ Rosalind, it's night. That's why Murphy texted you. He can't sleep.

His face pinches when she opens the door, catching a good whiff of that acrid smell that stung at his nostrils. ] Christ, what's the smell?

Acid.

[She says it simply, like other people might say the cat, and turns to head back in, trusting he'll follow her.]

And a bit of a chemical mix-up, unfortunately. I'm trying to synthesize a drug, but it's slow-going.

[ Murphy shakes his head, exhaling sharply to get the bite of acid out of his nose. ] Shit smells bad like something fierce.

[ Oh and he does follow her. Murphy's curious, though, and he's looking all around. ] What kind of a drug are you trying to make?

[The word is still a little foreign to her, but she understands the principle well enough.]

Adderall? [ His brows knit together. It's nothing he's ever heard of. Murphy shakes his head. ] Not a single clue. What does it do?

Calms a person down, one who has extreme difficulty paying attention and focusing on one thing. Or so I'm told, anyway-- it wasn't something invented in my day.

Huh. [ His tone raises nearly an octave. ] That's something I could benefit from. You need a guinea pig? I make a good one.

No, though I thank you. But perhaps some other experiment, hm? I'd like to start producing more than just prescription drugs.

[ Murphy shrugs, bump her shoulder as he walks past her not having a clue where he's going. ] What kind of other experiments? [ He looks over his shoulder. ]
