[It most certainly is. And yet in this moment, Rosalind is immensely grateful for it. It's been three months since her contract had ended, and yet in all that time, she hadn't managed to find a Submissive. Part of it had been the Fort, of course, consuming her attention and leaving her breathless with pain, but she knows that isn't just it. It had been Jonathan's betrayal, all the confusion of Stephen and what they aren't doing, coupled on top of the general horrors that come of living with this city . . .
She just hadn't paid it much mind.
But doing this is better than potentially losing her spot as a Dominant, and so here she is, prim and proper, her skirt hugging her hips and her gaze proud as she walks into the room. Her eyes dart over the young man, and she raises an eyebrow.]
You're to be my Submissive, I suppose? Madam Rosalind Lutece.
[Roy turns to look as an older woman walks into the room-- for a moment, he thinks she might be the contract lawyer he's been brought here to see but as soon as she speaks, that theory is out the tiny window.]
If I am, that's news to me.
[He rolls to his feet with the fluidity of someone with extensive physical training, looking her over. She seems pretty judgy, and he knows he probably doesn't make the most appealing picture to prim and proper types who prefer others like them. He's dressed casually, jeans and a t-shirt, ears pierced with small golden hoops. She introduced herself as Madam.
This'll be interesting. He definitely doesn't hate looking at her, at least.]
Roy Harper. Did we get paired up by LIES or something?
[Alright, she's practical. He can work with that. He sits back down, his smile friendly and his eyes sharp.]
I'm with you on that. Not really a fan of the whole, someone else being in charge of my entire life thing, so an uncomplicated, minimal contract works for me. Wouldn't hate moving out of the shithole they give us to live in, though, whether that's moving in with you or having help getting my own place. I can be a good roommate, I won't even leave the toilet seat up.

[She shrugs as she takes a seat, graceful and proud in every line of her body.]
It needn't be more complicated than that.
