I simply implore you to take extreme caution when dealing with him. Never show him your entire hand, do not let him advance a state that cannot be mitigated before it is too late. Do not let him claw his way into a position of power using your partnership as a means to get there.

I had no intention of letting him do any of that.

I shan't stop working with him. Frankly, I need the money, and beggars can't be choosers. But I'll be wary. This isn't the first time I've worked for a madman.
