I have no issue when it comes to testing the limits of /this/. However, I'm more interested in retrieving the items right now. He's seems fond of the cap, and now I'm holding it hostage like some sort of villain.
You could buy him another as a placeholder for the time being.
Walk me through what it is you do when things disappear. I don't just mean waving your hands or whate have you-- everything, your mental state, your physical state, your thoughts, all of it.
I did. It has a chocobo's face on it. You'd think he'd be more fond of it.
Each instance was different, with the exception that I was focusing on the object for some reason or another -- with Prompto's cap, my attention was on it because he dared place such a thing on my head. The pens? I was exuding concentration because I had been writing something. Also a bit frustrated that they kept disappearing from my grasp.
[That was... fun.]
And the aloe I had been glad to have, simply because it proved to be a balm for my sunburns.
Though these are tenuous connections at best. Honestly, Rosalind, I think it's all random.
It would be a fairly poor power if all it did was take things from you at random. Though I suppose that could simply be a result of you not knowing how to control it yet.
Still. You can't go on like this. God forbid you lose something more vital than a cap and some aloe.
And have something else knocking around in my... whatever this is? Empty space? Do you have any idea how distracting it is just to have a few small items in there?
Well. At least we know he had the ability too, then, and that if it was something important, he could likely get it out again, too. Or that he wasn't foolish enough to experiment with something large.
Perhaps thinking hard about the objects in question - Prompto's cap, maybe, given it's actually of importance, rather than aloe or pens, which are replaceable.

[Where's "there"? He's not even sure.]

It's all rather annoying, though. I don't exactly know how to word it, but I can feel them lingering; pens, aloe, and Prompto's cap.

[l o o k Prompto wanted to go ok]
He put his cap on my head, as something of a joke. I removed it, and it disappeared.

And now you can feel it, hovering around in some other dimension.
I don't suppose you're interested in testing the limits of it?

[HMM.]
Have you tried to do it deliberately yet?

[HE WANTS TO REMOVE THEM FIRST]

I suggest you start with something small, then. A few marbles?
Doing it deliberately might give you an idea of how to reverse it, Ardyn.
no subject
And if I can't? If I have to deal with the sensation of marbles rolling about for the rest of my life simply because you suggested it?
no subject
But you shan't if you don't play with it.
no subject
I'm not being dramatic. I don't even know if my other self /did/ know how to do this. I have no memories of this sort of magic.

[Hilariously sent before he can finish his statement, a slip of the finger. Because he's taken the time to think, and it hits him.
Damn. She's right.]
...Yes, actually.

[She's actually expected the opposite, which would neatly solve his problem.]
Do you remember what was in there?
no subject
I cannot. Something... larger, though, I think. Likely of more important than a few pens.

Well, I've little choice left but to try. And try again.
I might ask someone else for their opinion, as well. There's a student of mine who possesses the ability to do something similar.
