Professor, I think I have a startling discovery that you might want to research and look into.

I've discovered our first human/animal hybrid: Dante Rantanen. I believe I have enough evidence to say that he is, in fact, half cat.

Of course.

I have spent the past few weeks carefully studying his behaviour. He mimics a cat almost perfectly, both in the ways he tries to stand alone as if he doesn't need anyone else but also how he displays his affection in rough but cute ways. I have seen the same behaviour in my cats and I can attest to how remarkably similar Dante is to them.

Think of it as someone who pretends that he doesn't care about you but he secretly does. He doesn't want you to know that though so he tries to his best to make it seem like he doesn't like you. But then, one day, after you finish work and it's raining and you've realised that you've forgotten your umbrella, he appears behind you and says that he found this old umbrella in the trash so you should use it instead. Before you can say anything, he trusts it into your hands and runs out into the rain to catch his bus. Later on, you realise that it was actually his own umbrella and he gave it to you because he cared.

It's actually quite heartwarming.

I'm 80% sure that if you pull his hair away from his face, you will see that he does not have human ears but actually cat ears.

That would be my first lesson, then, young Souji. Make absolutely certain you know what you want to discover, and go at it full-force. If you want to be sure what kind of ears he has, you're going to have to simply go and check yourself.

I'm nothing but just a weak and innocent child trying to wander into the scary and harsh world of science and experimentation for the first time, with apparently no one to guide me (｡╯︵╰｡)
